Terms of Use
By inviting and using Espie ("the Bot") in your Discord server, you agree to the following terms.
- Service Provided As-Is. The Bot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. The developer makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the Bot's availability, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
- User Responsibility. You are responsible for your interactions with the Bot. The developer is not liable for any damages or losses arising from the use or inability to use the Bot.
- Fair Use. You agree not to abuse the Bot's functionality, including but not limited to spamming commands, attempting to crash the Bot, or exploiting bugs.
- Changes. These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
- Termination. The developer reserves the right to restrict or terminate access to the Bot at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

Data Collected
The Bot collects and stores the following data when you use its features:
- Your Discord user ID
- Your Discord username and display name (when interacting with the Bot)
- Event participation records (events joined, events won)
- Badges assigned to your user
- Timezone information (if you submit it)

Collected data is used solely to provide the Bot's functionality, including:
- Displaying your profile and event statistics
- Tracking event participation and winners
- Managing badges and permissions
- Generating timezone distributions
Data Storage
Data is stored in a MariaDB database and local JSON files. Reasonable security measures are taken to protect your data.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. Limited data (Discord user ID, name) may be visible to server staff through the Bot's commands.
Data Retention
Data is retained as long as the Bot remains operational. You may request deletion of your data by contacting the developer. Note that some data may be retained as required by Discord's policies or for legitimate operational purposes.
